Stop Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing using Registry (windows server 2016-2019)

 

Of course, Windows will animate (fade and slide) windows when you min and max window OR open and close them. 

If you don't love this animation, you can disable it to have windows minimize and maximize without any animation.

To Disable Animate Windows when Minimizing and Maximizing try this:

Steps:

1. Go to "run" (win+R)
2. Type "Regedit"
3. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics
4. look in the right pane to MinAnimate
5. Modify the string value in the registry key from 1 to 0

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics

MinAnimate string value

0 = Disable

1 = Enable
